D.....Re the phonecall

Thanks for the totally unexpected but very welcome phonecall D...and I'm sorry the battery on my cellphone died before we could finish.

As I told you, neither I nor anyone else feels at all badly towards you, and you weren't, as you put it, telling tales (though that did make me laugh!). You didn't tell me anything I wasn't already sure of.

We Did It!

We moved house!

The day itself was chaos and the dog escaped from the new garden at one point, but all in all things went smoothly.

Now we've been in since 15th March and we're done unpacking....not one box / carton remains.

Now, for the first time since it all began, we can sit back and relax.

The new house is absolutely fantastic. It's smaller than the last one (yeay!) and the neighbours from hell are a distant memory. Our evenings are now sent in peace and quiet instead of feeling like we're just one wall away from a war zone where all the combatants are under the age of 10!

Love it, love it, love it!

Cute!

The people buying our house have been over for a final visit to take some measurements. They are so excited about moving in and it is so cute to see. This will be their first house and they are wondering how they are going to get enough furniture etc. to fill the rooms.

We told them we'd call back in 16 years and see if they were still having the same problem! (That's how long Andy has lived in the house)

I hope they continue to be as happy as they are now.

I think what we're witnessing here is a unique kind of psychosis, where the sufferer states the exact opposite of the truth. I think what she meant to say was "Oh shit, people can see that I've completely lost touch with reality and now even those 'close' to me can see that I visited this blog 24 TIMES IN ONE DAY!"

Immediately, the minions were alerted and gathered around to stave off an attack....that never came. The list of hits on this page from her computer is irrefutable; just a copy and paste job, and simply reflects a paranoia of biblical proportions.

I'm sure the 'lady' in question will be kept well informed by those poor misguided souls who continue to have the wool pulled over their eyes, just as I'm sure to see the continued comments of those who daren't even speak using their own name. I look forward to witnessing the depths of their illiteracy.

I once wrote of my opposition to these therapy-dependant times we seem to live in, but I have to admit I have changed my mind. 24 visits in 24 hours??? Go see your therapist more, woman. If they can't see you, get another. Get drugs...beg for them if you must - although I'm sure a quick look into your mind would be swiftly followed by a prescription for thorazine and the poor therapist's immediate need for a hot shower.

You, my dear, are a prime example of why some species eat their young.

10 Days to go

We're getting down to the stuff we can't pack yet because we still have to use it.

We DID realise today that we can pack the DVD players because we've already packed all the DVDs.....ditto the stereo system and the VCR (yes, we do still have one!) One serious error was packing the coffe machine. I'm now drinking instant...can we spell ewwww?

Everywhere I look it's a sea of cardboard boxes.

The new suite arrived too early so that's residing in the garage, but we DID manage to arrange to get the new guest bed delivered to the new house the day after we move. Result.

I'll be glad when we in, and can close the door, take a seat and listen to........silence.

And how must it feel.....
